EQUIPMENT SALE - MEG FLUID TRANSFER SYSTEM FOR THE BP GTA PROJECT30/10/2023

Axis Energy Projcts’(AEP) recently supplied fluid transfer system equipment for the transfer of monoethylene glycol (MEG) from a chemical tanker to bp’s Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) project.

This system is to support the bp-operated Greater Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA) project. An innovative hydrocarbon strategy by using an FPSO to process natural gas before exporting it via pipeline to their FLNG facilities. The key function of the FPSO is to remove water, condensate and reduce impurities in the gas stream before exporting processed gas to the FLNG facility and domestic gas off-take

AEP-supplied equipment includes a 600m high spec Manuli hose, a 7m reinforced jumper hose and ancillaries.

AEP, along with Constellation Engineering, coordinated the mobilization of the mooring equipment and worked alongside Ashtead Technologies for the pressure testing of the hoses at Motive Offshore base, Boyndie, Scotland.

The AEP team specialises in the design and provision of low-cost mooring and fluid transfer solutions for use in the early, tail-end, and marginal field production and extended well-test fluid export systems.

Equipment currently in stock for hire or sale includes:

  • 1200m (4 reels) of the highest spec riser EC grade Manuli 6" long length (300m) hose.
